Ritu Paudel

As the Director of RISU Care, I lead our organization with a commitment to excellence in disability support services. My role involves strategic planning, overseeing operations, and ensuring that our mission and values are upheld in every aspect of our work. With a focus on innovation and quality, I strive to create a supportive and empowering environment for both our clients and our dedicated team.

With over 15 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, I have acquired a broad range of skills in both clinical and managerial capacities within various healthcare settings. My experience includes acute and emergency care, with a strong focus on aged care, where I have spent the most of my career.

 

Having advanced from foundational roles to managerial positions, I am currently pursuing a Master's in Disability Practice to deepen my understanding of disability issues and improve my advocacy for individuals with diverse needs. This pursuit reflects my ongoing commitment to professional development and excellence in healthcare.

Knowing that my efforts contribute to improving the health and well-being of individuals and families, and witnessing the gratitude and relief on their faces, is deeply fulfilling. This sense of fulfilment and the ability to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others is what truly makes me proud.

An interesting fact about me is that I have a perfectionist streak and thrive on creating well-organized and flawlessly executed projects. Whether it's completing a task at work, organizing an event, or even arranging my personal space, I find great satisfaction in attention to detail and ensuring everything is just right. While it can be challenging at times, this trait drives me to constantly strive for excellence in everything I do.

What motivates me in both my work and life is the opportunity to make a positive impact on others. Whether it's helping someone solve a problem, providing support during challenging times, or simply brightening someone's day, knowing that my efforts contribute to the well-being and happiness of others is incredibly fulfilling. Additionally, I'm motivated by the desire for continuous growth and learning. I thrive on new challenges and opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills, both personally and professionally. This drive to learn and improve allows me to stay engaged, adaptable, and always striving to be the best version of myself.

I enjoy the creative process of designing decorations, organizing activities, and ensuring that every detail contributes to a memorable experience for guests. It's a hobby that allows me to express my creativity while bringing joy and excitement to those around me.

One of my favourite quotes is by Maya Angelou: "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." This quote resonates with me because it emphasizes the importance of kindness, empathy, and human connection in all our interactions. It serves as a reminder to prioritize the impact we have on others and to strive to leave a positive and lasting impression through our words and actions.

As the Founder of RISU Care, I am dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities. My vision is to provide exceptional care and empower our clients to lead fulfilling lives. Through strategic leadership and a commitment to our core values, I strive to ensure that RISU Care consistently delivers high-quality support and services to those in need.

My professional journey began as a Laboratory Technician, where I operated my own laboratory business in Nepal for a decade. This foundational period enhanced my precision and dedication, skills that proved invaluable when I shifted my career to aged care and disability services in Australia. For over 15 years, I've committed myself to this rewarding field, concluding in the establishment of RISU Care. This venture is a personal triumph as it addresses the quality gaps I observed while working for others in the industry.

I'm particularly proud of founding RISU Care. Creating an organization that enhances the quality of life for others has been one of the most fulfilling milestones of my career.

I adapt seamlessly to changes, which I believe is essential in both personal growth and professional success.

The impact that my team and I at RISU Care make every day in the lives of people drives me to continually improve and expand our reach.

I consider myself an explorer of ideas, always eager to try out new concepts that, while they might not always work, often lead to innovative solutions.

My favorite mantra is, "Be the change you wish to see in the world." This resonates deeply with me as it reflects my motivation in both work and personal life.

Throughout my career, I’ve been dedicated to developing tailored care plans that meet the unique needs and goals of each individual. I firmly believe in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. My expertise in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) allows me to guide clients seamlessly through their support journey, ensuring they have access to the resources and assistance they need.

 

I’m committed to making a positive impact in the lives of our clients and their families. At RISU Care, I’m proud to be part of a team that shares my dedication to promoting independence, dignity, and inclusion for all. If you have any questions or need assistance, I’m here to help!

  • I have had experience in aged care for 15 years where I had the responsibility of running the 12 bed dementia ward for 5 years and worked a mixture of in charge shifts and worked on the floor over 10 years. During in charge shifts  I was responsible for managing staff and residents, leasing with family members and ensuring the needs of the residents were met.  I was continence manager and responsible for ordering of the continence products for our residents and making sure continence assessments were update regular.  Experience with managing palliative care patients, ensuring their wishes were met and provide required support to their family and friends.  Involved in support planning and ensuring that they are kept updated to best meet residents needs. 

Completed Diploma in nursing in 2012.

 

Have worked in Disability sector for 2 ½ years and love it.

In my role as Admin Assistant at RISU Care, I dedicate myself to maintaining an organized and efficient office environment. I handle a variety of administrative tasks, manage scheduling, and assist clients with their needs. My commitment to professionalism and attention to detail ensures that our team can deliver top-notch disability support services, contributing to the well-being and satisfaction of our clients.

An avid reader who loves to explore new places and cultures. Enthusiastic about creating art and spending time outdoors, whether it's hiking or gardening. Always up for a good conversation over a cup of coffee or tea. Committed to bringing positivity and a friendly demeanor to every interaction.

Though initially camera-shy, I challenged myself to embrace photoshoot for the website, pushing past my comfort zone. Despite the nerves, I committed fully, and the experience turned out to be surprisingly rewarding.

As the Admin Assistant at RISU Care, I ensure our office runs smoothly and efficiently. I manage daily administrative tasks, coordinate schedules, and handle client interactions with professionalism and care. With a strong focus on organization and confidentiality, I support our team in delivering high-quality disability support services, helping us provide exceptional care to our clients.

Avid dog lover! When I get time, I enjoy going to dog shows and showing my American Akita. I have recently added a new addition to the family, a Miniature Schnauzer which I may also add to my show team.

 

I have many years of experience in the NFP sector and started my journey in Disability during 2020.
